Cam recommendations
Its been 25 years since I bought a cam and need some help,I have a stock 70 302 in my 65 custom 500 and I want a little hotter cam. The car has a manual trans with a 3.00 rear gears, truck shorty headers with 2 1/2 duals all the way back and a holley 500 CFM 2 bbl untill I convert to EFI. Since its been so long I need some help in deciding what cam would be best for my motor as I do not want to kill low end torque. Jeff

you can call just about any cam company, tell them your current engine setup, what you want from it, and they'll get you the cam you need.... crain has really good people on their tech line, and crower is good for ford stuff too..just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

Yep, call your favorite grinder for a recommendation. If I had to choose your cam, it would be something similar to the first or second cam here. You want to keep the cam short with that tall rear gear.
