flywheel recomendations
Along with the new clutch, here is the flywheels that are available for a 408 CI Ford Stroker. This will be on the street in a 2500 pound car with a 5 speed. Four bar rear with coil overs.
Curious what the engine guru's thought would be the best choice. Part Comparison:
33 lb. billet steel, sfi approved, 11" replaceable clutch surface
30 lb. billet steel, sfi approved, 11" clutch surface
18 lb. billet aluminum, sfi approved, 11" replacable clutch surface
Thanks for the inputYesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave,
At various times, I had both a heavy billet steel flywheel and a lightweight aluminum flywheel in my 400" GTO. With the torquey, not-too-high-revving engine, the heavier flywheel seemed to work better. It lasted longer than the aluminum one also.Jack

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
