Initial settings for roller rockers.
I have never ran roller rockers before. I have heard that at TDC you take the lash out, then tight another 1/4 turn. Is this correct? Will I have to re-adjust them later after break in? If so, will the motor have to been running?
Thanks

That's basically the procedure, some say a quarter turn, some say 3/4 turn. Just run each cylinder to it's TDC, then adjust them as you would anyother hydraulic lifter.....you are running a hydraulic lifter cam, right?Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thank you for the advice. The motor has never been ran. I believe it was put together a little over a year ago, but sat on an engine stand in the corner of my engine builders shop.

First, are these adjustable rockers or are they bolt down rockers? If they are the bolt down type then you can look up the correct procedure on the Crane Cams site.sixty clicks West of Chu Lai
