Any 393 or 408 combo with good heads should make 500 hp/tq. I would do a 393 with AFR 185 heads and a vic jr intake. I know nothing of Kaase heads but I bet there not cheap.

    Good luck.

Get a set of ford 351 c 4v heads and take them to machine shop and get the water jackets the same shape and bolt them onto your 351w. I cant recall how much these things can flow but I have read that edelbrock victor heads have trouble outperforming them. If you find a guy on ebay that does not know what he has you can get them pretty darn cheap. But I also seen on ebay bare for about 1200 dollars.

just remember that with those 4v cleveland heads, you're going to have to have a big intake, big carb, and keep the RPMs up high

I was wrong about the water jacket thing. My dad told me that you just have to modify the gasket to make it fit on the windsor block.

Those 4v heads are o.k if you want to run a 5.13 gear and a 5000 stall.

I would look for heads with a port volume of 190-200 cc area.

you dont have to have a 5000 stall and 5.13 gears. In my fathers car he had a 351c 4v torker intake STOCK TURGUE CONVERTER 4.56 gear comp cam 272 h cam cant rember what comprersion was, crane roller rockers. He made 375 horse power at the rear wheels some where between 2900-3200 rmp. Cant rember exact whould have to ask him. That proves that you dont need wind this thing up reall tight just to make streetable power. Now he has a comp cam 292h whith 3500 stall and it his proabaly makeing somewhere between 425-435 rear wheel horse power and it will proably never see 7,800 rpm.

The point I was trying to make is you will give up a lot of torque by running the 4v heads.

On the street, the 2V heads worked better then the 4v... But with all the good aftermarket heads today, no reason to mess with them. He's wanting 500 horse, it will take more then the 4V Clevelands to get there with a streetable engine....

yup, this is a fun one, needs to be streetable, on a limited budget...... even though i think one of those 427 stroker kits would get him there

    Thumbs up thank you guy's

thank you guy's,but have any one seen that article on the jon kasse heads were he made 511hp out of a 89-302 @7800rpm stock motor with his small block heads victor jr. intake comp cam 256 degree soild roller cam and a 750 holley carb.i'm thinking if he did that with a stock 302 what will it do on a 30 over 351w 10.5.1 motor with a set of good rods and stock crank.because i have a 351w short block.i'm thinking 1700.00 for the heads 200 to 450 for set of good rods and maybe a better crank for 200 to 400 dollars if needed.talk to me and let me know what you all think because you're very-very helpful and i really appreciated it.you guy's are the best.and thank again-morris-
