1929 model A pickup Ford SB 5.0 HO

I am starting a 1929 pickup hot rod project. I would like to install a Ford 5.0 HO injected roller motor, what would be a good donor car?

go with the 94-95 as they were about 2'' shorter than a reg 5.0. or you can use the ft cover and w/p off of a 94-5 on a early 5.0 as I am doing. i have a carbed sbf in my rpu. and am using a carbed 90, 5.0 in a model a coupe.

A good choice on 5.0 blocks would be a roller block 1986 up . Efi were better built in the 90's if you go that route . A good ole carb looks nostalga though .

Or, any of the 5.0 Mustangs.... Lots of them around in the salvage yards for cheap. Good to start with a complete car, then you don't have to go chasing a lot of small parts and wiring harnesses!

1929 truck up date. Here is what I ended up with. A 2003 Cobra supercharged 4.6 DOHC 32valve 390 HP stock.
The stock 1929 model A pick-up had 40 HP. I will get some pic's soon.
