sounds like not a bad deal for building a 408..... i've built a few motors using scat and probe parts, never seemed to have a problem with them.... i'd give it a tryjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

Does that $ include balancing the rotating assy?

Didn't notice...I have my own machinist do the balancing anyhow, even if the kit comes allegedly balanced.... Seems not all of us have the same definition of "balanced"!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Exactly right! Reason I asked was if it was included you might save a few $$ by opting that out. That kit seemed a little more expensive than what I've normally seen. Unless balancing was included. Other than that looks like real nice stuff. You'll like the Probe pistons. The FE ones are pretty light compared to TRW's etc....

Yup, the Probe's are what got me interested.... I've had very good luck with them in Windsor's, too. Don't know about the import cranks, last shaft I bought new was a bit more then the price of this entire package!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

My bud recently built a 408 for his FFR. He topped it with a Mass-Flo FI system. Custom grind hyd roller and AFR heads port matched. Nice engine!! I forget off hand what it dyno'd. But was in the 500+ range IIRC.
Yea I wish Probe made 427 FE slugs!!
