5.4 liter for my 53
I need help i have a 5.4 liter engine and transmission out of a 2002 f-250. I want to put this in my 53 ford pickup but have no idea what its going to take to do it. I just pulled the flathead out of the 53 so where do i start. And how difficult is this going to be the wiring is whats got me puzzled.

mounting it isn't too difficult look up on summit you'll see some in there.... for the wiring, get yourself a engine wiring diagram for the 5.4 you're going to be looking at that thing to the point you think you're going crazy and then, you'll figure it out..... i believe you can also buy a 5.4 harness and controller kitjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

You can start by donating me the old flathead! I belong to a hot rodders charity group called "Parts for Farts." It's a group of needy rodders like myself who are currently low on extra cash to blow mindlessly on parts they want but probably dont need. Your donation of your unused parts will help maintain their mental health, spiritual well being, and will help make their wives happy because they will be happy. Extend the hand of love and charity to these needy guys, and donate your flathead. You'll thank yourself when you see the happiness you've given them.

Flattie the 5.4 is a great engine i drive a 04 F150 lots power and torque moving this 5400 lb truck around. When i put in my Superchips program it wakes up even more .
Falcon that sounded real good . Now i need a second cup to wake .
Dave that wiring thing has been what kept alot from updating engines . A drawing will be worth a mill.

I asked the missus what she wanted for Xmas and She said 'nothing' would make her happier than a diamond necklace. So I got her nothing... '
