Also if you want to run a sbf try using an older block 302 block.
They at least can take a .040 over bore.
The newer 5.0 blocks are nothing but a huge p.o.s.

I'll keep my 302 in my Mustang GT convert, I'll keep my 4.3 in my Blazer(till I move, then pull it, and put it in my wifes T Tudor Sedan, which had Buick V6), and I'll keep my 392 Hemi in my T Coupe, and you do what ever you want to your car, it's yours! I just gave my opinion, and where he could get some money for his motor!
I have no car with a carb, I have injection on everything, except my Trike.
You two sound like a couple of ford guy's that got spanked by a chevy one time, and can't get over it!

Anyone can cut one up, but! only some can put it back together looking cool!
Steel is real, anyone can get a glass one.

The dude who just posted the '40 Ford with the Nailhead in it is an example... Could have been like the majority and bought the bolt on goodies and put in a 350/350---but instead he went with a nailhead and wound up with a unique Hot Rod.... Heck, just do something different once in awhile!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
