well i got the call from the radiator shop and after he tested it he found it was about 3/4 cloged. and the fins between the tubes were not conected to the tubes anymore. so a recore it is. he said it should be done tomarrow but at the latest friday. the cost........$350 but had to be done so oh well. we will see what happens after i get it back.I have been building custom cars,trucks,streetrods for 13 years and counting

With the rad that bad, better check the heater core too, if you're running one. The Y should run cool as a cucumber with a new core, if it worked at all with a plugged one!
