351 c head question
Ok, finally got the heads off my 351 c. Can anyone help me I'd them? There is no "4" or "2" in the corner, just a "10" and a lot of hieroglyphs which i think are previous owners attempt to mark them for safe keeping at the machine shop.Last edited by Fheckro; 09-19-2010 at 05:41 PM. Pictures are too big and a bit blurry but looks like a set of 2V small valve heads....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave is right. It's been 35 years since I played with 351 C's, but those are called open chamber (2 barrel) heads. Date code shows around 1971. The 4 barrel heads are called quench chamber heads, and when you look at the shape of the valve area it is not round like yours.
Yours aren't bad heads, but just not the revered 4 barrel heads everyone used to be looking for.

Same casting as the 2 barrell heads..They came off a 400 or a 351M engine.I remember when hot rods were all home made.
