Mike - lookin' great. And yep, painting it black shows off any of the fancy aluminum parts really nicely (also, please record that squeal, especially for Randy)

PS: the mail box is now cleaned out as well

PPS: Might even go for a 'last ride' of the year today. Getting anxious to fix the engine clunk so I can really put some miles on next spring

A couple of details I may have missed---did you go .040 over to correct the cylinder bores??? and how about align hone?? deck surfaces too much reflected light to tell if they were done??

Lookin' really good, Mike! I like that big honkin' dual four Shelby manifold, though I suspect you'll be able to watch your gas gauge dip with each trip to WOT
Glad you had a good machinist looking at things and making them right, too. It's amazing what kids do, then claim "just overhauled"

Thanks Roger. I love the look of that intake also. But I just may make a top plate for it with a single 4.
Or maybe luck out and find an original.

Thanks Dave. I might imagine that you could probably hear me squeal with joy at your house when I smash the little pedal for the first time! HAHAHAHA....

C'mon Mike! That intake deserves more than one little 4-barrel!! If not two fours, how about six two's?? Or maybe eight?? One little 4-barrel You might as well just adapt in a single Rochester Two Barrel from the 70's!!
