I've seen a couple of the monster trucks painted with (I'll assume) that stuff.

I bought some rattle can spray paint at the local Advance Auto parts store for about 8 bucks. Does/looks OK - but it sure isn't a permanent ELECTROPLATING choming of a part. Caveat emptor with 'miracles' in a can

Dave, this was discussed some time back here, and I remember seeing that former discussion when I was searching for some powder coating threads. I recall that there was an article in either Street Rodder or Rod & Custom that was referenced, and it mentioned Jay Leno. Seems to me that Mike52 may have posted it? If I can find it again I'll post a link.

G'morn Dave & Happy New Year to you and the Gals.
I also used a rattle can of what they called spray chrome on my oil filter canister for my 235 inliner when I moved it from the manifold to the fender wall. It goes on fantastic and looks ?decent? but it ain't chrome in any sense of the word. Here's a little pickie of my efforts.

Found the old thread, and the article was R&C - Is there a good "Spray on" chrome paint?

I could see a custom paint shop might get set up to do it but it might be too much $ for the home painter.

I seem to recall this setup (which is expensive) somewhere on here before. The pictures of the stuff done with it look top notch, compared to the spray can stuff! It's getting hard to find rechromers these days!

I should have waited on Roger's link before I posted because that's not even similar to rattle can crap.
