Very nice work! I'm very familiar with m90 superchargers. I'm currently restoring a 1990 Thunderbird SuperCoupe that's getting a fresh engine and a fresh '94 Supercharger.

I havn't done too much, been trying to get motivated, most of the trim seats roof lining ect has now been done and will have to live in the spare room until i finish getting the paint done.
I was supposed to work today but wasn't feeling too good this morning so while i was at home i decided to finish getting the front gaurds and grill shell ready for paint, lots of dry rubbing and more rubbing later i was happy with how they looked and decided to throw some color at them, a quick couple of coats later and they are now in color. Today has been positive and given me a bit more incentive to get back out in the shed, just need to get the doors and rear gaurds ready for paint, then give them a coat as well.
Then i will wet rub the whole car back again and get a fresh 4ltr tin of paint and coat and clear the whole car and panals again all in one session, then i am going to have ago at putting some fine flake flames on it. was just thinking about masking up the flames and throwing a light dust coat of very fine powdwer blue flakes at it just to break it all up a bit, don't know how it will turn out, but i like trying new things and so far the paint has turned out not too bad for a first time amature lol.
I havn't done too much else but it feels good to be moving along again. I just need to try and keep motivated and spend a lot more time in the shed than i have this past twelve months.

Well i decided that the gaurds look good, but they were a bit plain, so i have decided to attemt my first ever flame job, It took me hours to mask up and there not the best flame design you will see but i think that they dont look too bad for my first time, I just went with the flow and free handed them on, I have traced a templete off this gaurd so i can transfer it to the other gaurd when i see how this one comes out, I am just going to dust coat a real fine bright blue flake over them and see how they look. I have put another coat of color and two coats of clear, then wet sanded with 1000 grit before masking up for the flames, I just need to add a few bits here and there before painting.

been a while, not too much to report, i am hoping to take a week off and work on it again in the next few weeks.
I picked up my door trims today so nearly all of the trim is ready to go in just as soon as i can get the time to wet sand the body back and put the final coats of color and clear
the seats are all trimmed in the same color and as soon as its painted the guy will come around and fit the new hood lining, i still need to finish prepping the 4 doors and a few other things for paint before i do the final coats,
I also need to put the new gearbox in and repaint the firewall same as body color, there are still lots of things to do but i am hoping to get stuck into as much as i can over the next few weeks.
I have been out in the shed this afternoon working out the pulley's for the supercharger, think i have that sorted now just need to wait for the new belt i ordered from Repco to arrive so i can finish mounting the bracket. the new pully mounting bracket that hangs under the snout will be able to be used to mount a support bracket from the snout to the block.
anyway here are the new door trims, i tried to keep the colors pretty neutral.
the local trimmer guy has trimmed all my seats all the door trims kick panals console ect ect the hoodlining and carpets along with the trunk and a few other things for $2,500
cheers barnsey
and a couple of the pulley tension-er i am working on.

Looking really good, and I really like the innovation on the tensioner. Mostly though, thanks a ton for posting the shots of your door panels. I like the layout, but more the approach your trimmer used for the pleats has pushed me to not abandon that idea on my panels. Yours look very nice.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

thanks for your comments.
the carpet on the trims is a bit lighter in the flesh, i really liked the way my trimmer fitted the carpet with no exposed edges so there shouldn't be any problems with fraying. before i moved out here to the country 4 years ago i looked into getting some new trim and the quotes were from double to triple what this guy has charged me, he only works from his shed at home and mostly works on weekends to make a few extra $$$$ so i was more than happy to give him the job. all i wanted was something to tidy up the inside of the car and when fitted it should do just that. the seats ie: front buckets and bench rear are also done in the same pattern, i will get some pics when i pick them up, they are finished but i didn't want to pick them up with all the sawdust and dirt and other machinery in the back of my van at the moment.

had a spare couple of days, got the craps because the van won't start in the mornings, so i stayed home and worked in the shed instead lol.
finished welding up steering brackets and ground up all the welds and tidied up the idler arm brackets, then fitted the B&M shifter bracket and mounted it all in, then run the brake lines to the front end plumbed them in and clamped them down, then i removed everything again lol. then sanded the firewall back and repainted it in the body color, I think it looks better than the red. oh well, that's a few more things crossed off my too do list the two holes on the passenger side are where the gas converter mounts. just need to give the tunnel area another coat of black under body tar then i am going to clean the engine up on the weekend and give it another coat of red paint, then paint all the accessories brackets and alternator starter motor and supercharger in metallic silver, then fit the new gearbox and reinstall the engine, well that's the plan anyways lol.
cheers barnsey

mounted the coil and fitted the oil filter cover, put new gaskets on the side plates and rocker cover, then painted the engine mounts and thermostat housing and cover, also painted the gearbox and side plates
Had to cut the inside edge of the oil filter cover so i could get it on as even with the oil filter inside it the casting for the dipstick was holding it out on an angle, so the only option was to remove a section from the inside edge. my converter should be here tomorrow so i will be able to bolt the box back up as well.
starting to get there slowly and am enjoying my afternoons in the shed.
