Holy Cow,
The grass is already dead in NM. I'm still waiting for the rain to stop so I can spray weed killer. I'll bet you got a ton of comments at the show, maybe even won a prize.

Living on Route 66 or that should be cruz'n Route 66 in my '34 coupe.
The car is looking cool and I bet you had a heap of envious rodders wishing they had found your car in that barn before you. How is the motor running and apart from changing the fluids, was it easy to fire up. Oh yes I am still jealous of you for having that car. Do you have personalised plates over in your state,if so you could get ( NVS 34) as that would sum up every body on here.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Even though the little 21 stud engine seems to run fine I'm getting the coupe ready to install the 24 stud 239. Just ordered a radiator from Brassworks http://www.thebrassworks.net/ It will be a 4 core, with shroud and fan. Decided to go that route for better cooling and drivability. I also sent two model 8B carbs I had in to be modified and rebuilt. http://www.gocatspeedshop.com/
Can't wait to get this stuff so I can get the "Hot Rod" engine in.Livin' on Route 66

Here's why I got the new radiator. It was "fixed one time. About a 1/4 of one row of the cores is not functional. Didn't want any possible cooling issues.
Most everything is disconnected and ready to pull. Still need to unbolt the transmission.
Here's my new "Brassworks" radiator today. Like the name it is a 4 core brass radiator. Looks to be very well made and quite heavy about 60 lbs.
It has a full fan shroud and electric fan. There may be some clearance issuses with 59 AB engine so just to be safe I went with an electric. Should cool better too. It has a built in temperature sensor port in the bottom tank to turn the fan on. It also came with a wiring harness with relay.
This is a pressurized system so the top filler is a dummy so I can use the original Greyhound filler cap. The fill port is under the hood and will take a 7# cap. The radiator is set up for a Flathead Ford.

You are going to love that BrassWorks radiator. The one in my 27 is over 20 years old and I'm reusing it this rebuild of the car. Very heavy construction and they cool great. Walker refused to build me one because my shell is chopped 8 1/2 inches and they said a radiator that small wouldn't cool a sbf..........the BrassWorks said no problem and it worked fine.

The little engine is out. Just got back my 2 rebuilt Holley 94s and a Rebel Wire 9+3 wiring harness.
Replumbed the brakes. I didn't like the way they were run and the brake line on the rear end did not have a flex hose on it.
Tore our the headliner and cleaned out all the mouse poop, nests and bodies. Wow, it doesn't smell bad any more.
Now to rewire it and convert to 12 volt. Install the 59AB engine and new radiator. Then finish the interior.Livin' on Route 66

I really love this coupe of yours, what a find. Coincidentally, I'm just starting to install the same Rebel 9 + 3 wiring kit on my 27. I sat in a chair last night and sorted out what circuits I will be using (No a/c or third brake light on my car, no wipers/radio either) but very impressed with how it looks so far.
Keep us posted on your build.

Pictures of the engine removed
I used 1/4" brake line with the armor shield or gravel shield. I like to use this in the front for more protection. I also had to add the flex hose brackets to the frame.
In the rear I added the flex hose there too. It was just a hard line straight to a tee.
This is just a shot of the underneath showing the condition of the floor pans. Nice!

Going to drop the 59AB in tomorrow. Pictures to follow.
Here they are.
Getting everything ready. I love the electric hoist I added to my gantry crane!
Here's my helper Jeese. Young lad I'm trying to teach how to work on old cars. This is the first time he's help put in a car engine. He does work on motorcycles.

Here it is in the car. Looks great if you don't mind me saying so!
I also swapped out the big and little radial tires off my Stude.

Heck I hope you got the towels back in the bathroom before your good wife found that you were using them out in the garage, drive way.
Absolutely love the wheels/tyre change and man you are just reinforcing in my mine just how lovely a flatty can look. I think one will have to go on my wish list.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

If your wife has a friend that annoys you don't tell your wife to stop being friends with her. Just casually mention how pretty she is... .
