Funny how one thing leads to another, and another, and another, and..........
Looks good, Dave. Should really clean up the rear and be different.

What's even worse Don, this is just the stuff that is part of the original build plan----Haven't even gotten into the "one thing leads to another and another stuff yet!!!!!
Mr. Stovens--Just another day in paradise for me!!! Got a good dog, full pot of coffee, decent garage, and a fresh pack of smokes...life just don't get no better!!!!!
Steve--Thanks man, compliments mean a bunch coming from you!!!!
Mike--Had it all mocked up today with poster board and masking tape, really works for me!!!!
PS--Hope the restoration freaks don't find this thread, I'll be on the "Ten Most Hated" list!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Doing some time finish up some welding and fitting some 20ga. supports for the floor. In the front of the passenger compartment, got the lower dash welded to the firewall and finished out the sheet metal part of the driver's footwell. Hope to be gluing on some aluminum panels next week some time! Also cut out a couple spots in the right rocker panel that need patch panels. Amazing what a couple beads and a couple bends do to a piece of 20ga. sheetmetal...Made the floor support in the last picture the other day then got it welded in today...When you tap on it with a body hammer, it has the same solid sound as the 16ga. square tubing it's welded to!!!!Last edited by Dave Severson; 04-05-2011 at 04:42 PM.

I'd never even consider doing a complete on a car without it!!!! These are terribly overbuilt, but the start of the stands were at my favorite recycle yard. A local manufacturing concern had built them but for whatever reason never even used them!!! My pal Jim sold me these 2 in the picture and 2 more that I'm going to finish building someday with hydraulics for lifting and rotating the car.... Just a word of warning, I think you have to me over the age of 50 to be authorized a rotissierie!!!!!!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave-the one in the pic that you're using, are you rotating that with a long pipe as a lever??.Good Bye
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
