    Question

Ya know,it sure sounds like a Ford guy stranded in a Chevy body.

Last I knew Dave the plan was for a big inch SBC.

Back when I was planning to build it as a gasser a stroker sbc was probably one of the considerations... No big hurry on even worrying about the engine for the '57 yet, too many other things to get done first. The only thing for sure is that it will probably be a V-8!!!!

Dave-to follow threw with the logic of not building a gasser and then opening up a wider market for resale,my two cents worth is cross breeds don't sell well.

Yup, all in good fun! Used to get this way on the site most every evening, especially Friday's!!! Lots of input, and from all the bs some most excellent build plans and problem solving. Now it seems many are concerned about being some sort of professional or expert, others don't want to post for fear of the big put down... Hopefully we're getting back on track and starting to have fun again!!!!!

Off my soapbox and back to the build----

Haven't really given a lot of though to the engine since the build plan for the car changed...The body shell is taking shape the way I want it, no room to get the frame on the chassis table yet. Once it's on the table, then I'll get the front sheet metal going together on it's stand. Then set the body on the frame and start on the roll bars, suspension, engine mounts, and all the other fun stuff. Just my slow paced usual way of building.

Well when I was new and listening to the input on the frame I listened with both ears .

Bobby, I'd say a lot of your work was from your own talent!!!! Nothing wrong with the stuff you've put together since you joined up on CHR!!! All really first rate work!!

Yeah, I've got a lot of planning to do on how to re-do the frame and suspension on the '57... The old front suspension was so cobbled up I had a tough time giving it away, and the front frame rails that were on there were like 1/4" thick so I cut them off and put them in the scrap iron pile. Not sure what I want to build into the frame now, something light and strong but other then that no definite plans yet.
