Where the top of the chrome target was, the leading edge just weld a short brow like you would have on your headlights, and fill the lower section with a half round tube all the way to the end of the taper on theinside of the hood. Hard to explaneToys

OK, think I got the concept now, thanks!
My idea with the curved tubing was to pick up all that air that is coming up from the bottom lip of the hood and cram it into an air box...and the Cal Custom replica scoop on top of the hood (thanks Jay) for a bit more air ?????? Even without fenderwells, outside air is so much cooler and higher density then underhood air coming off the engine.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Just looking for ideas, Rich. My first idea is seldom the final plan that gets installed....... Heck, I even like it when guys stop over and nit pick my work, all goes to make the finished product better!!!!! Often 1 bad idea will lead to a couple really good ones. That's one reason I hang out here on CHR, always lots of good input without the put downs and insults so common on other forums... Kind of like everyone's build becomes a community project.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

That's why air flow is so dang hard to work with, Just can't see it!!! Did a bit of "testing" with the fan and cigar smoke.... The tubes would draw air in off the front of the hood---but above the headlights would be better, just a longer air tube to get to the carb(s)......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The small gun ports could be a location for turn signals. I've seen lots of guys use the stock air intakes for a ram air effect to the intakeCharlie
