Before I invested in a canister I think I'd let it rest a bit to clear any fumes from filling, then do a fitting by fitting sniff test underneath the car. It may not be enough to drip, but enough to stink. To work right the canister collects fumes from fills, temp changes, etc, etc, absorbing into the activated charcoal, then needs a purge solenoid to pull clean air through the charcoal into the engine to keep the charcoal active. A canister alone will lose it's magic without purge, I believe.
The car's looking wicked good, BTW! You've done an amazing job with it from raw materials to a fantastic period gasser.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Well having been having a little more luck lately, got all the little snagging jobs done & dusted, unfortunately over the winter the period waterslide transfers I had bought didnt fare too well, some just fell off and the other faded badly, only answer was to sand them all off shame as they looked the part, I think they are so old the glue on them is well past its use by date.
This is how they looked to start with
After a year they looked like this
Now looks like this
While the front was all in pieces I did some mods to the bracketry, now I can either undo 10 bolts and remove the complete front or undo 6 bolts either side and take a fender or front panel off separately and leave the rest there.
One thing thats been bothering me was sorting out a trailer as my trailer is 72" wide max but the willys rear end is 74" wide, managed to sort that problem today when I found out a friend that is into 4WD has a trailer 78" wide I can borrow anytime

Pity about the transferrs Steve as they helped with the full race car look. I suppose most of those transferrs can't be found now on the market. The car is absolutely awesome..
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Steve, it looks great! On your stickers, can you send your pics to a decal shop and have them make them? I have a place that can print on vinyl and get stuff really really close for not too bad a price. Nice work on your front clip. I was watching chop cut rebuild yesterday. They're doing a 41 willys glass car and they glassed the entire front clip to the body shell. Have fun working on that unit!Ryan

Bit of an update, yet again gremlins stopped me from getting the Willys to the Nos Nats first problem was the MSD wasnt getting a full 12v to it while cranking which turned out to be a duff new battery, Had to bite the bullet and replace with a red top optima but now we have a nice fat spark
A more worrying problem was that I was losing some compression at TDC on the firing stroke looked at the problem so many times it was doing my head in so decided it was time for a fresh pair of eyes so rang my mate Fred who came over for a looksee, sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees when chasing down these problems ,after an hour or so he suddenly noticed the inlet valve on no1 cylinder was ever so slightly open on the firing stroke
So we decided to go back to basics and set it up again which showed up a problem with the Comp Cam timing gears/chain, when I assembled the motor originally the instructions were crap and didn't make sense to me so I called Comp Cams techline and the guy on the line explained how to set it up, having now checked it all it appears he must of been having a bad day as what he told me is wrong !!!
Anyways tonight Fred is coming over with various bits of equipment and we will retime the complete motor and hopefully put the last problem to bed
Getting to the timing gears involved stripping the front out and dropping the oil pan so this is how it stands at the moment, hopefully everything will go well and I can get to Dragstalgia.

Glad you it looks like you will be able to sort it now, and it doesn't involved a major strip down!
