    Original Color found

I think I found the original color underneath the window trim. It appears the car was originally "Moonstone Grey". Here are some pics of the color I found online. What a neat old color. It appears the car was painted the tan color it is now somewhere in the past (It protected the metal well to be sure)

I have also been considering a very pale light blue (Similar color on new VW bugs)

    Here is the grey:

    Heres the light Blue

Heres a pic of the newer beetle light blue, the car is a little girly, but the color is cool.

I am still awestruck by the condition of that body..its amazing..I guess its the cold up there that preserves old bodies..And that color on the late beetle would suit it too,I think..in fact,a lot of those pastel type colors would suit it..
Like your choice of engine/trans too..

It is amazing how the bodies get preserved in that area. Florida is really tough on bodies and the majority of what we find is repairable but on the rusty side Super happy with this body to be sure and thanks for the compliments

I dig both those colors too, leaning towards the grey as it was the original color and its speaking to me somehow. Perhaps some red wheels would look great with a red interior???

That blue with some creme wheels with 46 hucaps and rings??

This is the neatest part for me of car building. Planning the car out and mock up.
Thanks for all the suggestions and support.

Hehe, I saw the pondering chair strategically placed in front of the 46 when I got to the shop the other day..............I figured you were sitting and "planning".

It was an easy decision for me to sell the 46 to Don. I figure I only have two more cars in me to build, the current rpu project, and a little modified like the 23 I had, except using the flathead stuff I got from Paul. Don will take this car to the level it deserves and it will be nice for me to see it come together.

Plus, if Don ever screws up and leaves the keys in the ignition.................

    Don

(PS) Don, I just got the title out of my storage box and it will be in your toolbox today, sorry, I just kept forgetting.
