Phantom 1937
Guys,
Being around in the background for awhile, and as I had brought my daughter,Larissa, a camera for Christmas I would give her a little project,so the other weekend we pushed the 37 out of the garage,so have a look at what started as a 1937 Ford slantback.
Enjoy

That reveal makes it look something like Graber might have done. Nice.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Nice lines on the top, and on the reveal, too. Going to be sweet when it's done.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

The roof is from an old 3 series BMW,see they do have a use,I bought it of Ebay and have had to widen a couple of the bows a couple of inches and make the two front sections abour 26" longer, once i have finished making the "Duval style" windscreen (sorry windshield) i will then make a piece to fasten the roof to the frame.
The Reveal was done by bashing a piece of steel over a wooden template, primitive but it worked.
Bob excellent link, many thanks

Did you change the front sheetmetal to '38 or was it a '38 to start with?

Hi
It started as a 37 Slantback, with some very rusty front fenders,a pair of 37 fenders came up for sale from a guy who was making a fenderless pick up out of a 37, these were in a better condition than the ones I had,so these were bought and stored away ,then i sold the original ones that i had. When a few month later I tried to do a mock up of the front end you can imagine my horror when I found out the front fenders would not fit my 37 grill and hood etc, as luck would have it a few days later, the guy who was building the fenderless 37 pick up call me and said he had changed his mind and was selling the rest of the front end so a deal was done and I ended up with a 38 front, which I now believe to be a 39 standard front, which fits the body really well, so it confuse a few folks. What do you think?
