Don't know why I typed "small block", Dan. I remember you talking about your numbers and donor before, saw the distributor in the right place and said "small block" instead of "engine". I even remember glancing at the oil pan and wondering where a stock front sump pan might have come from - shouldn't post when I wake up and wonder by the computer in the middle of the night... My bad, but still a great looking engine all cleaned up and assembled.

Well...started on the Ford rear end.....got it all apart, its in excellent condition, no signs of wear.....Its a Ford 9 3/8 inch with 31 spline shafts and 2.80:1 ratio....excellent for gas mileage.

all the markings in yellow are all the brackets I am removing to make way for the new setup. going with trianglated 3 link setup with coil springs and shocks.

    here's the diff

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but those look like D2VE heads with no squish pad. Worst heads Ford ever cast. Made only one year. Ford had to reduce static compression ratio down into the 7's to prevent detonation on pump gas. Check the casting number right above the exhaust ports, halfway back.

that looks wild.....love the minor changes to the hood, grill and cab. Wild Thing......thanks for posting it.....I love it....but due to fender laws where I live.... I have to keep the fenders.
