Alot of fab works already been done rebuilding the rot with new sheet metal in the spots it needed. The Dash is actually one i scavenged out of a 50' chevy panel and thought it would work good with the truck to give it some original look and feel but with a few twists. All the sheet metal is the left overs from the panel i parted out and am still in the cab cutting and welding prior to the dash going in. It's not a show truck this ones just a driver for myself so i did want it to be a lil ratted out but nothing as extreme as lining the whole cab in old licence plates. The truck needed the steps replaced which i'll be using the running boards off the panel to refab into steps on the truck, the cab had some issues around the door hinges so those are in the middle of getting cut out and beefed up with some 1/8" plate enstead of the sheet metal it had. the outside corners of the cowl on the low side were basically gone so new pieces had to get cut and formed in to fit right. ive spent next to nothing except time and lots of welding wire, sanding discs and cut off wheels, the truck came with a new set of guages so i'll just be using those, the motor in it is fine, but ive had a motor on the stand waiting for just such a project to go in in front of a 68/69 muncie 4 speed so thats gunna be the set up on in. the dash board itself has been cut n fabbed into what it is now even the defrost was built from scratch, everything has been test fitted in the truck but still got a couple more days of sanding and cutting in the cab before the dash goes in, cause once shes in shes in for good. i got some pics im gunna put up and try n keep up on here for the build with new info and pics. the glove box was redone from scratch too, the lettering is from the first GMC logo and each letter was welded onto the dash for what i thought a truck could have had stock. thanks for lookin

i gotta a lot more pics but im gunna call it a day and get back to the metal work, i'll keep y'all posted
