1965 Biscayne/Don Meyer
At the age of 73 I purchased a X- DRAG CAR(65 Biscayne). Altho I can no longer do all the work by myself I still love to go to the garage & do what I can.
I installed 350 W/A 4 SPD. I installed a 59 dash, dropped spindles, cut 1 coil off all 4 springs, replaced the rusted out frame , installed T-bird seats & painted it my favorite color(next to blk).
Hi to all my old friends.......DonDon Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).

Way to go! 65-68 Biscaynes are near and dear to my heart. Love what you are doing with it. I am looking for a 59 dash to put in my 54 Studebaker wagon, they are also among my favorites. Keep us posted and let's see it on the road!

Hi Don, very nice job so far on the Chevy and I too like the dash in it. I gotta remind you, the speedo may read 73 but the engine is still running at 8000 rpm happily. Oh we need more photo's of the beast to please.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Good to see ya again Don....
Like that dash, looks right in there. So, what color you going to use for the stripe(s) to separate the two tone?Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Biscaynes nice and light, good drag cars keep the photos coming. Building cars like that keeps you in the right frame of mind.I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

Hi Bob......I am trying to decide on a separation strip color. I am thinking a dark red.
Any sugestions.
It's good to talk to you & Dave again.

I'm thinking black would be the best contrast and dark red would be more subtle. BTW, beautiful car.Ken Thomas

I'm with Ken on the stripe color. Black is an easy choice, though Burgundy would work well too and be a little richer looking. It depends a little on interior color.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I like it as it is Don! Maybe take a little black electrical tape and tape off a small space and then send another photo on here. My imagination never is as good as a mockup! Nice car too by the way!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Outstanding Don! Don't know what I like most: The car or the fact that you're 73 years young and still turning some wrench. You're an inspiration to us all!!
Great Job Don. Keep the pictures coming

Don, I've followed your escapades since the early Rolls Royce days and consider you to be a master fabricator. Nice work my friend.
