It doesnt look much different from the last picture but there's a lot of hours in sanding since then. I got the whole car sanded and decided to pull the front clip apart rather than tape around everything that was black. I think the results will be better. I went ahead and patched the old trim holes at the bottoms of the fenders as that piece of trim is being eliminated. I'm off work tomorrow and hope to make some serious progress.1 Corinthians 1:27

I haven't done headders yet, but I have a concern: when you weld up the tubes, does shrink cause strain on flange, and could it warp?.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Last pieces sanded; finished the hood, fenders, and primered the gravel pans. Now for a few nights of touch up to some nicks and scratches and I can start hanging plastic.1 Corinthians 1:27

If it was a newer car, I might agree with you guys on the "Citation Red" thing but since it's an old one, if they pull you over it's often because they just wanna look at it....
When my '37 was a darker red (and running)) I did get pulled over a couple of times and yes I was speeding. The officer acknowledged my speeding but said he just wanted to check out the car.....Whew!"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Yeah, I think my ride is becoming "known". The other day I was headed through town and jumped on a road that has a 50mph speed limit, but is straight as an arrow and often sees some "excessive speeds". I was going maybe 55mph, and looked up and saw the oncoming vehicle flashing his lights at me, which I took to mean "Radar Ahead!!" Surprise, surprise the lead vehicle was a County Sheriff, and as he went by he was giving me a "Down" signal, as in "Slow Down, Bud!!" I'd already dropped speed, but looked back and saw him U-turn a car back, thinking "Oh crap, he's going to come after me!!" Nope, he closed in on the guy who was following me, who had been closing the gap quickly as we met the Sheriff, and he rode his bumper for a mile or two and then turned when he turned.
The red is looking great!! It'll be attracting attention, for sure!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
