    How long is the driveshaft? Have you checked into donor cars like the Explorer or Crown Vic? I got an aluminum driveshaft from mid-90's CV and it's perfect length for my 66 F100 shortbed. Maybe you could get lucky.....

    Randy has a good thought. In my younger wrecking yard cruising days I often found just the right length drive shaft in the yards pile of them.

    Yeah, I did. As a matter of fact, the Crown Vic was the closest; about 5 inches too long. I'm taking that one up to get it shortened.
