Our 1930 Chevy Coupe AD Universal build

My brother and I picked up this 1930 Chevy Coupe from a neighbor for $3500.00 on Sept, 23, 2012. After poking around on it for awhile and realizing that many of the prats where from various years (1929 thru 1931) we decided it was going to get hot rodded. I have attached many photos here of the build that has been taking place on Saturdays since Sept 23rd. You can find many more photos here http://www.deepsand.net/1930chevy

New Total Cost involved rear steer independent front suspension tacked up.

    Cab off..

In the process of boxing the frame , we already have a new title (we didnt have any vin or title info to start with) VIN stamped on frame.

Found a Chevy Blazer with a nice 327 with Edelbrock intake manifold and carb for $1000.00. Sold the blazer for $950.00...Motor for $50.00 sounds good to me.

Found a Ford 8" rear end for $125.00 that has the perfect offset....no modification necessary. Well we will be changing the gears.

New Total Cost Involved 4 link suspension with coilovers.

Cross bracing and brake booster installed..

Custom Trans mount and drive-shaft throughput.

Cab back on the frame....ready for the next step (which was completed this weekend) channeling the cab 3".

I bought a '32 Ford pickup the same day you bought this and all I've done is look at it! I'm trying to sell a '71 GMC I got with it first. Good work. Keep it up!

    1930 Chevy coupe trunk lid

Does anybody know off hand if a trunk lid from a 1931 Chevy coupe will fit on a 1930 Chevy coupe? We are considering modifying a fiberglass rumble seat trunk lid to fit on our 1930 coupe that originally had a standard trunk.

I'm guessing with all that quick work they did that they're driving it by now?

Sweet project. Was this the original frame? Sure looks in great shape, especially for the year.
Too old to work, Too poor to quit.
