Thanks guys. Dave, we really wanted to get it up to Byron in October, but that didn't happen. Right now my brother is planning on taking ot to Beech Bend in May for the TS Diesel shindig. I'll update as we know more.Ryan

We finally got the car out of storage. My friend Kyle, finished the catch can/breather tank for it. We got it installed and my brother took the car to Good guys last weekend. When he was loading it up to bring it home Sunday he did something out of the norm, and smacked the trans pan on the trailer and it is leaking now. Hopefully he didn't hurt the valve body or anything else. Kids.Ryan

I finally got the hydraboost pressure line replaced. It ended up costing a small fortune. Russell metric o ring adapter fittings, to -6 ss braided hose, nothing $120 can't cure. I had to fix a few wiring issues, and clean it up. I took the car to a local car show 2 weekends ago, and now it's ready to be put back into hibernation.
Some exciting news, the car was featured in Ultimate Diesel Builder October/November issue. These are the only pics I have of the article right now. It's on the top of the cover, and has 5 pages in the mag. Not too bad IMO. It was shot last year when my brother took it to Indy to race it.Ryan

Sweet! Congrats on the magazine article. It is a very cool different setup you have. Who knows, maybe Volkswagen will consult you on clean burning ideas!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

That's very nice coverage in the magazine, and I expect that it will generate a few phone calls from the regional diesel crowd looking for help squeezing a few more horses from their diesels. Congratulations!Roger

Thanks Roger. I did get 2 phone calls from 2 different places trying to sell plaques of the article. They called me before I even knew the car was in the mag. I knew it was going to be in a mag. But I was told it was Diesel World.Ryan

Here are a couple of pictures of the car before I put it in storage. In the late spring I may change the dash, and install some better seats and finish the lights so I can legally drive it on the street. Mainly, at night. I want to be able to drive it to work a few times.Ryan

Thanks guys. I've had some real hard thoughts of yanking the engne and trans out of this and putting a twin turbo LS based engine in it. But I won't do anything until my 40 and 76 are driving. (I hope)Ryan

I don't think I've shared these here. I found some pics from back when I put the first set of compounds on the car and it had a hold stack. These were taken at Cedar Falls Iowa at a 1/4 mile track. On the last pass the primary turbo blew up at the 1/8 mile. My brother was driving and stayed in the throttle until the end of the 1/4. It ran 11.55 and I don't remember the et. I found out later it scored a cylinder and that was a bad deal because I found that out at the NHRDA world finals.Ryan

I get a lot of crap for using a SBF in a 34. I can only imagine what the corvette crowd thinks of this!?!? LOL.. Looks like a fun ride tho'!
