engine and gearbox mounts arrived , range rover engine mounts and r380 gearbox mounts.
machined these caps for the engine mounts today.

finally got the chassis put on the jig , got the engine sat on the jig waiting for final placement also got the jag diff located in place and had the mounting plates lazor cut.
these plates mount through slots in the frame,
and then are tig welded in place top and bottom. also got the gearbox mounts cut and bent.
.

cheers,
long day today but got rear axle mounted heres how i did it.
aswell as the slots crossrails were also drilled 25mm,
then welded in and the welds dressed off.
the crossrails were then welded into the frame to hang the diff,
and then the wishbones and hubs were bolted on. i now have my datum points to locate the engine and front axle so thats the next job.more on sunday.wanna be a proper hot rodder.

I was going to ask if you were going to use rosette welding on the tab(s). Thought better to wait and glad I did. More great work.

Tony whereabouts in the UK are you ?, Looks good so far although a little heavy duty.

I'm glad I looked at more pics since for a minute there I thought you were building a new Brooklyn Bridge from Lancashire to New York. That's one solid chassis you're building! Looks great.Nick
