Welcome. I've always like the Cortinas since back in the early '60's. But I've never seen one run with a V8 so this should be interesting. Good luck.

Choptop,,awesome stuff.. It's good to see you guys in the UK still doing the stuff that only a few of us Kiwis used to do to English cars.. We never did get too many 2 door Mk2's down here,so the 4doors got the attention instead.. The little Rover V8s are perfect for that swap..A lot of the guys are using Toyota V8s down here now,cos of availability and cost..Your car looks kool..Lookin forward to seeing the progress pix..Micah 6:8

cheers robin, there seems to be a trend for using the lexus v8 here, opted for the rover as as you say its small and light.
got a bit more done on the frame.
both side frames done just need to dress the welds on one of them.if the frames look twisted dont worry its because i have designed the body rake , ie front down, arse up into the frame not the suspension as normal. the reason for this is to give 5" of clearance under the frame from front to back. the car will sit as the picture i have posted.
more pics tomorrow. tonywanna be a proper hot rodder.

Do you mean disappearing from the "new posts" page??? All posts go off there eventually, kind of a time deal. If the thread isn't currently active, it "disappears", but is easily accessed and brought back to the "new posts" page.....
If so, when you want to add to your post and it's not on the front page, click on the "Forums" tab, then the "All Hot Rod Talk area" tab, then "Hot Rod Build Logs" tab, then on your thread and post your new information.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
