Nice work Bat! One thing that works real well to clean up welds in side tubes after being welded is a high speed die grinder with carbide bit, followed by a 80 grit flap disc that goes in the end of the die grinder. Nice fab work you are doing as well!Ryan

I did a ruff 4x2 mock up,by piling the parts up on y-block on my engine stand, just not all welded yet. Just to get a plan working in my head about linkage.
I'm OK normel used links between each carb on left and same on right, but thats the EZ part, next is to get both left an right pairs to move together also,I'm guessing my best bet is to build a crossover bar an 3 arms on it,the #3 arm will be for link to gas pedal.
If I put this crossover in center vs behind carbs were the Ford "Y" dizzy is in the way. The linkage will look pretty good kind of filling the center space. Anyone got any photos of homemade complete 4x2 linkage set ups?

Back in the day, on one of Wilcox's cars had 6x2. This is a drawing of what we had. The carbs were mounted in such a way, that all the butterfly linkege faced inward. Running inside and down the middle, using 2 bell cranks to connect the carbs and the peddel.

H.C. Wilcox was really good here in Miami Fla.,always was amazed by his racecars ,if were talking about the same super guy, best v8 ford flathead man ever,+ other motors too!,,Thanks for the drawing, very cool set up,even more so when ya understand puting the carbs sideways may help the float fuel level be even in both emistion tubes on left turns of oval tracks.
"pepi" if your one of the crew for H.C.,do you recall the OJ n white tunnel car/coupe he built that we could see right through the right side of ,standing infront of it,Hialeah Speedway outlawed it after three nites.?

I do not recall the car, what year would that have been? I was with the brother Fred's crew. His body shop was out where I lived, West Miami. Here is a picture you will reconize..
Hialeah Speedway, is that even around anymore?
