big bill holman use to put a drop of oil on the shafts to see if it was leaking. neat trick . the oil would seal it for just long enough to change the idle. two is a pia , three is a nightmare , after that you run out of hair .

if you find a shagt that is leaking you can temporairily seal it by some ghassis grease or somilar stuff---just make sure its dislvable in gasolene so it will clean itself up on the internal places.

throttle plates are where I start on carb rebuilds/tunes-they are what control the air to the engine and must be good-------

So Jerry, just to be clear, ghassis grease or somilar stuff can be used to temporairily seal a shagt leak, but only if its a ghassis grease that's dislvable in gasolene?

I know, I know, you're typing like an old maid school teacher, just a hunt'n pecker, one finger style which is totally OK. Maybe try a different finger - that one's got a batting average that's falling today on keystrike accuracy.... As Mike says, jus' pokin' the bear, not meaning any harm, all in fun.

I hate typing especially text message typing, the #%$@ auto correct often types things that aren't Politically correct! I.E. very imbarassing.

I once typed a message saying yeah I've done that before, but on Face book it corrected to I've done her before, a female coworker who just got married, thank god I caught it, within a few minutes so I could delete the message!

In all truth, I'm just glad that Jerry retired from flying before the airlines shifted over to computer controls......

Well I don't look at the screen as I type and sometimes do hit an next door key. I must admit-seems I set a new record for me in such a short post
but did you get the message?

And Roger-some of the aircraft I've flown did have lots of computer stuff, but it actually was always behind the airplane-the a/c had to of deviated from a programmed operation before it could correct itself. A good flight crew was ahead of the plane, not behind it!

Of course you can always book on Asiana, Malasya Air, etc--

Yeah cool photo that would of been even better if the people in the white sky scraper had give a bit of thought and parked across the other side of the carpark. Apart from that, I think the building with it's bright colours and signs make such a cool back drop for Hot Rod photo's. Now where is the jerk who parked that white thing as I will knee cap him if he doesn't move it real quick...
