This old photo is in 1964 as I was repainting it again, plus some update to my 1955 T-bird v8.
I got marryed in 65 and and pulled my rod apart to use v8 in our dayly 57ford station wagon, sold off a few parts and put the rest away in our then new garage and outback of house. Hind site is I should of stored some of my old parts better, rust and motherweather has eat some to junk now.
Got restarted on trying to rebuild it a few years back and hunting missing parts.
If I can,I'm going to try and post some new photos of how it coming back together.
We'll see, been having probs with photo posting. Yup sure enough it did not show photo as other sites I post on,sorry

That is a cool old hot rod. I just noticed you have a nice big beer keg on the back. Great idea and it fits a lot more beer than the little Moon tank on front of my roadster.Nick

Beer Keg,history,Got it back in 1960 before I yet had a gas tank I liked,Dean Senta and I got two kegs actuly, there was a nite club that was bruning down one nite and we all went to watch the fire, the nite after we went back to see what was left of it and it was pretty much to the ground, with exploded kegs and stuff every were, but two kegs still were good and had beer in them=lets have a party at beer can beach,so we did, most got sick cus the beer had been too hot. We did save the kegs and I made one into my gas tank.
Now many years later my son Lance also asked me to help him build a hot rod of his own. I'm talking to Dean a few years ago and tell him about my son's hot rod build,he ask if he wants to use a keg on it like I have on my own rod,/YES I said, and Dean says, well come and get the other keg,it's in my garage still.
So now both me and my son have have those kegs on the back of our hotrods. There stamped made in 1953 and 1950,but one is alum and older is stainless steel.
The nite club her in Miami was roomered to be built at first by Al Capon as a speek EZ/whore house and later was owned by Myer Landsky,so that story goes.Last edited by The Bat; 03-20-2013 at 03:37 PM.

You can see the other keg on it here,he always like my old rod so took a few ideas from dad.

Bat,
On your son's bucket is the keg held in place by something other than the leather belts? Just wondering how it's secured considering the weight of between six and seven pounds per gallon.Roger
