I'm pleased with it, it was not really a restore it was mostly built from raw materials except for the metal fittings, gauges and engine. I could have built 3 or 4 hotrods in the time I've spend working on these plane over the the last 10 years. Now I hope to at least finish this 40 for next summer .

just spent some time looking back through my post and now I'm wondering what the hell happened ? It seemed I was making progress and now its a crawl forward with leaps backwards. If I don't get this in paint by April it will go up for sale and I'll take up knitting.

here's an update on the truck. Over the years of building this I have changed things, springs control arms , rear end. In doing so the stance changed and now I have to correct that First I tried to modify the shock mount cross member, it worked to lower the rear as needed.
In doing so it put the air ride shocks way out proper angle.
The only way to fix these mess was to cut it all out and start new, new shorter shocks and raise the cross member to its highest point. Currently waiting on new shock before I install cross member just to be sure.
Of course I had to cut the tail pipes off to make adjustment there. In the end it will be better looking riding etc I just look at the other stuff as prototypes. Happy Thanksgiving to all.Last edited by Navy7797; 01-16-2021 at 08:06 PM.
