Uhhhh.......not so much! During the summers of my highschool & college years I ran the mobile tractor tire repair truck at the local farmer's coop in my little Oklahoma hometown.......there was nothing nice about changing a rear tractor tire that had run over a stump out in the middle of a field, spewing sodium-chloride & water all over the place. Created a "nice" big mud hole of nastiness that you could sink a jack in......"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Perhaps you should investigate ways to raise/jack up the car during a tire change event.....something that allows the suspension to droop more.......and the oze guys have their $$, they dont really mind if it is a problem...Last edited by robot; 08-09-2013 at 05:37 PM.

Hmmmm.....sounds to me like your problem is more with the tire height than the width. You said you have a 29" wheel opening and a tire that is 30.5" tall.......perhaps if you had the 295/40/20 which is still 11.61" wide but is 29.3" tall, it might be a little easier to squeeze into the hole.......btw, these figures came from this tire size calculator Tire Size Calculator"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. I don't own a trailer or a vehicle that can pull one. No trailer queen for me. I told the OZE guys that when I ordered the car - it was to be a driver, not a show car.

Dave, I have a steel '37 and the horizontal measurement on my rear wheel openings is 28.25". Currently have 255/50/17s on a 17x8 wheel on there but the tire is only 27" tall. It looks too small but I wouldn't have any problem changing a flat tire on the road! I'm sure I'll end up with 28 or 29" tires on either 17x8 or 18x8 wheels when it's all said & done. I could probably go with a 9" wheel if the offset is right.
The cars on the Oze website appear to be much lower than yours. Do you intend to drop yours more?"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells
