FINALLY, some progress
So—after 5 months of tearing down, cleaning, rebuilding and parts buying, I’m finally doing things that show progress. For months, everything I did looked like the previous days work. Building it up is much more rewarding than tearing it down and cleaning.

Beautiful work. I particularly like the air suspension. I'm curious like Jerry, though. Aren't those tires directional?Jack

I think Jerry meant the tread direction, and yes they appear to be directional tread on the wrong side.

Frame could be upside down, then tires are right

Man--I'm so tired of sanding I feel like my arms are going to lock up on me. I've put a gallon of mud on this thing so far and blocked off all but a pint Can't wait to get done with this part.

Sweet, a 39 Chevy! I thought that frame looked like a 35-39 Chevy. My very first car was a 39 Chevy. Is yours a sedan or a coupe?Ryan

Hey 40, actually, it's a 4 door sedan. We've had about a half dozen cars, all coupes. Whenever we would go for more than a w/e, we would have to pull a trailer for all the wife's stuff. And forget buying anything while ur out. We once had to SHIP a bunch of "shopping spree" stuff back from "Shades of the Past" in Tenn to Florida because we just had no more room
Now, a family could live in the back seat of this one. Plenty of room to stretch out!! Replaced the firewall and front floors. Had the entire car soda blasted

Wow, great work! I know what you mean by having no room. We have 3 kiddos, and there's no way to pack them all in my 40. Need a Limo almost.Ryan

Yea, we had a 41 Ford standard in our quest for more room. Kids are grown & gone now, but we like to travel for longer periods going to runs in other states now.
Had air ride on last two we built and love it. See UR from Mitchville. Would that be Maryland?
