Well today was kind of a mile stone as i got to start the coupe up as a complete car.. it sounded good with a little bit of rumble and a deep throat sound.. only got to hear it run for about 30 secs after the exhaust was completed so i was waiting to hear how it would sound after it was all together.. two bugs to work out but no big deal on those... got my application for the GNRS so now the pressure is on to get it completed...

Yep, you've done a great job on this one! The color pops, and the pinstriping sets things off without being over the top. Now how to resist driving it until the GNRS??

Absolutely top-line professional work on this one, Parkwood. (I'm jealous of the amount of room you have under your car)

Thanks Roger, i've still got some Jimmy the Greek stripping to go down the sides on the belt lines and some strips on the louvers but i've got to take it to So. Calif. just before the GNRS to get that done. Don't worry i'll drive it as much as it can before i go...

Jack no professional workers on this one, just some back yard gear heads doing the best they can.. just because your car is channeled shouldn't you have a little room between the rails?? and thanks glad you liked it...

I had said that i had a two bugs to work out, well today was more like fighting pigs than bugs... I put one of classic Instruments float less gas tank sending units in my tank because it was made to be 100% right on, it worked off pressure in the tank... to set it up to read right you had to fill the tank to the full mark and touch a ground wire to a 12vdc for 10 secs and you were done.. when i filled it up 15gals. and turned on the key the gas gauge didn't move at all... after all the checking, gauge ok, wired right the only thing it could be was the sender.. to late to call classic so i waited until this morning to call and was told the senders were having so many problems that they sent them all back and ask me if i wanted a refund... after the shock and being a little pissed wore off i had to empty the tank of 15 gals of gas, pull the battery, pull the tank, replace the sender with one that came with the gauges which now works 100% right on and then put it all back together fill it up and test the gauge again... and on top of that one of the heater hoses i had made up leaked at the crimped end so the water had to be drained and pulled the hose off and took it back to have another one made... I really guess i'm lucky because the two problems weren't our fault but still had to be fixed and wasn't the end of the world. if that's all that goes wrong i'll be very happy...
