My younger sister is in Auckland Hospital having that now although she just phoned to say she may be discharged due to the specialist wants to get the cancer in her liver sorted ( don't know how they will accomplish that ) so that her next servings of chemo gets to the other places it needs to go. She is only 56 years old and has it in her lungs, liver and lymph nods ( excuse my spelling ) so I think it is a up hill battle really. Cancer is such a curse and yet mankind is willing to spend trillions of dollars on weapons of destruction yet can't fund scientist to find a cure for the common cold let alone cancer.
Enough of me, glad you are still copying and making a headway against your cancer Steve.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Hang in there whip, just look into other oncologist in your sister's area and maybe get a second consult. Cancer treatment is such a groweing field here n the US that it's seems sometimes a younger MD can be beneficial since they are more current with treatment. PM with any questions, I lost my mom to lymphoma and always will do what I can for others going thru this horrible disease process." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Steve ask your doctor if he can prescribe ( emend tripack aprepitant capsules ) It is a 3 capsules pack the first is 125mg you take it 2hrs before a round of chemo then the day after that round you take the 2nd 80 mg cap and the next day take the last 80 mg cap it realy helped me last year with my chemo I don't know how your health care sys works but my medicare ins paid for it with a 40.00 co pay because that 3 capsule treatment cost 792.00 if you have to pay for it good luck to you I hope you do well I know what your going through been there. you will be in Pam and my prayers GOD BLESSI'LL KEEP MY PROPERTY, MY MONEY, MY FREEDOM, AND MY GUNS, AND YOU CAN KEEP THE CHANGE------ THE PROBLEM WITH LIBERALISM IS SOONER OR LATER YOU RUN OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES MONEY margaret thacher 1984

Thank you Steve for your reply and thoughts, much appreciated. I'm struggling with Mum's care at the moment, (most of the year really ) and with her dementia I appear to be repeating Shirley's (sister) diagnosis to Mum all the time which gets me upset in the sense I have to handle her shock and then questions all over again plus try and pick myself up mentally to carry on.
Sorry Steve (Watford, England Steve) for hi jacking your thread mate so we better get back to the scheduled programme now and get away from all this talk on a unpleasant disease.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
