I had my daughter Amber and her BF paint the lower firewall with the bed liner (4 coats). She painted the inside floors with what was left over. Man the firewall is looking so nice. I really like the contrast of the blue and the white and now the black base just ties it all together.

Yep; the contrast really pops.
It'll be more muted when the engine etc. is in place, but it will still be there.
It looks bloody gorgeous.
I like it.johnboy

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Progress and a setback. First the progress. I had a great day at the swap meet with my daughter. We sold a bunch of stuff and made some $$. Now the set back. I went to go see the body because he painted the passenger side door (the edges not the whole door) and I noticed some black stuff around the back window and the passenger side window. What the heck is that? It is outside so maybe bird $hit? No such luck. apparently while my loving daughter was painting the left over bedliner she had gotten some on her glove and as she got in and out grabbed the windows to steady herself and got bedliner on the fresh new paint. Being an epoxy, it ate it's way all the way to the fiberglass. So more bodywork...sigh.

Bad deal on the paint/body work. My old boss used to yell, "You have to love cheap help!" Anytime something got messed up. Your situation reminded me of my body shop days. HahaRyan

I spent half the weekend wiring up the chassis. The third brake light is wired in for the third and final time. I didn't like the NOS wires. They were cracking as I was unrolling them and just didn't feel safe using them. Then I wired them using the original (cardboard) insulators under the bulbs and just as I'm ready to put the cover on I noticed one of the terminals pulled through the cardboard. So I hunted around the house and came up with 4 fiberglass insulators and the holes are a lot smaller. So that's all done. I ran the wiring for the alternator, headlights, temp sender, oil pressure sender, trans temp sender, & a couple other things. I got all OCD with the wire ties. The tail lights are grounded and the tail light conduits are all fastened down and I'm happy with the way they look (I should after the 3rd time). I also ran the grounding strap from the tail of the transmission to the frame & also grounded the horn.
