Sounds nice, do you have the 5.3 cammed? It sounds pretty healthy on the video.Seth

I put a lot of Jones turbine SS mufflers on diesels. Never had an issue with them. It does sound great Bam. Funny you post the lights pic. I was going to ask which housings you used. The ones I put in my 72, one has no cracks etc but is gaining moisture and I could raise a gold fish in it.
Your truck would look sweet with a shaved and smoothed intake. You'd still have to address covers for the coils but I like the looks of those better than the oem panels.
Am I seeing this right? That you're working out side on it? If so I'm jealous. HahaRyan

I believe in having working parking brakes but I wanted a electric parking brake, but I was not willing to pay 400 bucks for one so I fabricated my own.
I have this wired when the parking brake is on the little (P) stays lit.
It works pretty good

That is super cool, wouldn't have thought of doing that. Where did you get that electric ram?

Not understanding fancy stuff, this may be a dumb question, but what happens if you battery dies, can you manually release the electric brake, assuming it doesn't need electricity to stay on?" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Is that actuator what you see for sale at bigger shows that they use for tilt fronts and such? Great work and killer idea!Ryan

Thanks man, its just a typical linear actuator I got off of ebay that is 2 inch stroke with 225 pounds of force.
Its not fancy at all. I got the idea from my wifes car its has a electric parking brake. I like it because it cleans up my cab. No it does not need electricity to stay on but it does to pull and release the actuator. But the car will not drive away with a stalled battery so I don't see the problem with a electric vs manual ebrake. In the event the actuator ever fails in the on position simply remove the cotter pin that connects the actuator to the ebrakes.
Thanks man. Its just a typical heavy duty 2" stroke 225 pound Linear actuators. I just measure every that so that it engages the brakes right when the actuator limit turns off the power (stops pulling) You can also purchase them where you can set the limit of the stroke.Last edited by BAM55; 12-26-2018 at 09:46 PM.

Cool. I always revert back to my teens of a manual transmission and a couple of friends push starting the mustang with a dead battery, popping clutch and riding on alternator to get home!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I was able to put some work in on the truck over the Holidays. I fabricated these bumper brackets, shaved mounting holes, to a a smoother looking bumper. Now I have to find a good chrome shop.
