Update on 32
Last weekend the body was lifted off, the Chevy rear end that was hog tied to the chassis was set up at the correct rife height, 4 link rear end fitted, as was rear cross member and coil over shocks. Gear box mount fabricated, additional strengthening of the centre k member and chassis c notched at the rear. Great to have the deuce rolling, bring on the next list of things to do...funny how you tick some off then add twice as many as you had...fun though![SIGPIC] If you ever get tired of going steady with someone that ain't around...I'm up for grabs...

More on the 32...
Rear coil overs fitted, just need to fabricate the spacers for the lower coil mount, but coupe looking good (well to us anyway) sitting at ride height....having her rolling is awesome, starting to fee like a hot rod now....[SIGPIC] If you ever get tired of going steady with someone that ain't around...I'm up for grabs...

Not being critical in the least, just wondering with that center "X" will you have room to slide the tranny back enough to clear the input shaft from the bell housing so that you can tip the front down & out, all with the body in place? You've likely already confirmed that, but it could be a nasty pinch point that would be frustrating down the road if it wasn't checked. Hard to tell from the photo angle, and just caught my eye.
Thanks for posting progress photos, BTW. They're great!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

[QUOTE=Whiplash23T;545712][SIZE=3][FONT=Comic Sans MS][I][B] Well I'm guessing here so forgive me if I'm wrong with the name, but, a big hi to Craig as you would be one of the few who would have a garage like that and who owns a '56 Chevy.
The '32 looks real cool and if I'm right on who Mr Milner downunder is, it will be a very close clone of the original car.
Sorry for the delay, cheers for the comments, it'll be close to it, I know there's a ton of them around and some folk hate it but hell its been my fav hot rod forever, plus my son Ritchie 9 loves it as well, that's all that matters, take care, cheers, Style[SIGPIC] If you ever get tired of going steady with someone that ain't around...I'm up for grabs...

Hey, I think yellow '32 5 window Coupe's with a SBC wearing 4x2's is the cats whiskers too. I would of been amazed if your young fella didn't have petrol flowing through his veins Craig. I know Bill Fryer was building a close copy of the Milner '32 also but when I saw it at the Whangarei show, I thought he had gone a wee bit of track. Don't get me wrong as it is still an awesome car. I know the coupe and '55 chevy from Balclutha would take top marks for there closeness of the genuine cars.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

For sure, Drew and Steve are good friends...naturally...as we all share the weird obsession! Yeah I have since seen Bill's, he was always going down the graffiti route but switched to a tribute to the early 32 of Mike Poole's, iconic NZ hot rod, hope all is well with you, cheers. Wife and I off to Petaluma in May for the Graffiti Salute...man I love that town...[SIGPIC] If you ever get tired of going steady with someone that ain't around...I'm up for grabs...
