Being as how you are running a Caddy with a mechanical fuel pump here is a little tidbit you might be interested in if you don’t already know it. If the pump you’re running has a hex fitting on the bottom like this one…….
chances are that under that fitting is a fuel filter like this.
Not all the pumps have the filter (or the fitting like this), I know firsthand my Caddy Powered El Camino does…….I found out the hard way on my way back to Illinois 2 weeks ago. Believe me I was pulling my hair out (and I don’t have a lot to spare) trying to diagnose a fuel starvation problem on the trip back.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
