Ben, your projects remind me of this movie . . . and I mean that in the nicest way possible! You have amazing patience and ingenuity. Your middle name doesn't happen to be Max, does it?

After using a large crowbar to lever the engine against the rubber mounts, I find that the rubber gives a lot less than expected. Meaning that the u-joint angles under load do not decrease as much as expected, so I remounted the engine for more desirable angles

Thanks! Very happy with the shifter. Here is todays progress.
Master cylinder is installed and the brakes are bled. The exhaust system is done. I used a dynomax vt muffler. It uses a spring loaded flap which increases back pressure at low rpm, very similar to the factory R1 header, and opens as rpm increases. Also reduces noise and droning at lower cruising rpm. I have heard that these mufflers sometimes rattle as the valve opens and closes but according to the manufacturer, it is brought on by a lopey idle, which the bike engine does not have. The car will look mostly stock but I think the the 3" exhaust may give it away!

What a crazy project! Very nice fab work. Do you plan on restoring the body or is it going the rat rod route.
