Yes, amazing how much time one can use up in the fine tuning of the doors to get the gaps absolutely equal all the way around. Your truck is coming along fine and I have already mentioned how I love the bright colour.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Did you have to do some cutting and welding to get your gaps so nice? My driver door on my study truck definitely will need some work.

The above image is where I was at one time and not knowing any better, I did not have my cab braced up enough when I cut it apart. Everything moved quite a bit and I knew it was going to be tough getting them close again. I set the doors back in and used some flat steel and tacked the doors in with the best gap I could get and that got me close. Still ended up cutting the pass rear cab frame to push it forward later. I fought them for a long time but from what I hear almost every body has to add to the doors or take some off. I just talked to a guy who cut the rear cab loose to get a nice gap. I don't think they cared much back then. I think you have to do what you have to do, but don't forget the inside seals need to work also.

Omg you really had that thing tore up! Mine got hit at one time on the drivers side, I tried to spread it back out but it wouldn't move, so it will need some cutting for sure. Very nice body work on that cab.

Yeah, that thing was cut apart. I was tempted to throw in the towel more than once especially after so much time passes. However I get a little sad when I think of all projects started with good intentions but end up in the junk yard later. I didn't want this one to be another one of them. So excited that I see the light at the end of the tunnel now and glad I stuck with it.

I have a brother that could teach a class on tearing things apart and never getting them back together. I have now decided that I will not have two car projects at once, and won't take one apart unless I know I can finish it. It really does take some discipline though. Especially this gem I found an hour and a half away. When I get this 53 done and if its still there, I will ask him what his " Not for Sale " price is.

Got a little bit more work done. My wife got hush mat put in the drivers door, that door is awesome now. It closes beautiful with a nice solid thud. I'm going to wear out the hinges just opening it and closing it like Rainman. We got most of the dash wired up, waiting for the Vintage Air unit and some radio stuff to finish it off. I got the fuse box mounted out of site, I'm a little OCD that way. What do you think of the black trim and mirror instead of chrome, I think I like it. I tried to accent the gauges with black but I don't think that worked. I like the all polished better. I got a lot of the engine harness wrapped but then seen that I forgot to include the yellow tack wire so I called it a day.
