Great work! It is really looking great. A big transformation from the rusty van you started with for sure!

It's looking great! I think the mat is better Idea than the bed liner. It will make it more quiet and your band equipment won't hit you on the back of the head from sliding around.

Love seeing that Leaning Tower of Power sitting in there.

Thanks, sometimes it's fun just to put them back together like they we built instead of building an engine, modifying brakes, suspension, etc, etc. Definitely quicker and cheaper!

I can't count how many times that ran through my mind with the 53.

I've heard that, even tried it once........ failed. My restoration turned into a resto mod.

I am changing it to GM electronic ignition if that counts.

Finished sanding the back doors today, got all my shift linkage rebuilt with new grommets and put in, and put the heater together and back in. Should be starting on the wiring pretty soon.

That is looking really nice!

I shot the rest of the doors with Slicksand today; now I need to sand them, shoot the whole van with 2k, wet sand, and it’s ready for color. I’m glad, I’m getting burned out on bodywork. Also started wiring the engine and the dash.

I can see why your sick of it, that's a lot of real estate to sand !

You ain't kidding. I originally wanted one without all the windows but right now I'm glad it has them. It'd be twice the work.
