You should be getting close to getting sick of that thing by now. I'll give you double what you paid for it after you get the stripes on.Seth

I spent some late hours getting the stripes the rest of the way masked off and then late last night I finally got them sprayed. The high humidity sure made that fun.....
Now I just have to paint the hood, then lay it out. That will be a bit more difficult as I want to go around the raised portion of the scoop. It's yet to be decided.
I'm still undecided but I am thinking of waiting a couple of weeks and weathering the stripes. I used flat paint to try and match the old paint. I'll have to see what it looks like in the sun.Last edited by 40FordDeluxe; 08-13-2019 at 09:18 AM.

Here are a couple of interior shots. I still have to put on the new front door panels and I got Morris classic retractable seat belts for the front, and some off brand black lap belts for the rear. I also need to find my old stereo to put in it. But that can wait. I need to start accumulating miles on it.Ryan

I know what you mean about the striping. I spent 2 days doing my 68 it had strips on the sides and hood top of front fenders. What we did was paint the car the base color then taint he strips the same color but 3 more coats then cleared it I think 3 times. then sanded and recleared. Depending on where you were looking at the car what strips you could see. I don't think I have any of those pictures as my X got them and that was 27 years ago.Charlie

That thing is looking awesome Ryan! I think our next trip to Des Moines is going to be an overnighter. If I swing by do I get to drive it ? :-)Seth

I haven't had any time to work on any of my own stuff lately. I made the time this weekend because I was bound and determined to drive it on Labor day. Saturday night and Sunday night after finishing another customer's dodge, I finally got to it. I reset the camber and caster, removed the 1" lowering blocks in the rear and put in 1/2" ones. Then I swapped in my other tuned ecm from mailordertuner. I also finished installing the LED park/turn lights and led projector head lights. (Too bad the head lights are inop) Monday after taking Colt to an eye doctor I installed seat belts and the big kids and I took it to the in laws. It sure was nice to drive this thing. I took the kids to school in it this morning and ran errands in it before work. I guess I better get on installing the wiper arms and switch. Day 2 of driving it and I got caught in some rain.Ryan

RainX is my go to solution on my 48. Even with an electric conversion to the original wiper mechanism, the wipers are pretty much useless above about 30 mph.
Now on my T bucket, I actually looked just over the windshield like I do on my MC. I learned real quick not to put RainX on it. The rain would just pour over the top of the frame directly into my face! Of course, the car never had a top. It was definitely a motorcycle like experience. Drove that thing 5 hours once in a hard rain. Didn't have much choice as my wife had to be back home to go to work.
Since the headlights and wipers don't work on the Camaro, just drop it off with me for a year or two and I'll fix it right up for you.Last edited by Hotrod46; 09-03-2019 at 07:05 PM.
