Well, if you've abandoned the 40, I'll swing by with my trailer and rescue it... now that you've got the Camaro going, you won't need or miss her right??? LOL....

You can swing by but the only 40 you are going to get will come from the convenience store. So save all that gas and just walk in to your nearest convenience store and buy your own 40.
It is abandoned but confined and secured. The dust has it trapped. But at least no critters have made it a home. I routinely check in on him. HahaRyan

Get my own 40 hah.. Actually I was thinking about it later - I could round up a bigger truck & trailer combo.. Run out to California and pickup that 37 that R2 has abandoned! Then swing by and get that 40 from you... OH, and then there's a 32 that Mr. Spears has .... I could get quite a haul going!!
But then reality bit me in the butt! "Cause I haven't got the ambition to work on my own coupe, so who the he_ _ am I kidding!

Probably want to charge me a nickle to see it too!
Be careful... I've been known to take folks up on that offer!

Time flies when you're having fun!!! I've just been busy working and driving this thing before old lady winter rares her face...... (Which showed up yesterday)
The first 2 pics are from the Winterset covered bridge festival show a few weeks ago. That was a hour and forty five minute trip. I was in the mid 30s when we left so I grabbed blankets for the kids. Someone hasn't installed the vintage air system yet.
I stopped in the town we lived in when I was first born. My grandparents lived there for years after we left. The only place left the same is the COOP and the gas station next to the lounge my grandpa used to go to. We made many trips to the COOP back in the day. There was also a speed shop there until 2003 or so when the owner passed away. Lavertty performance center was the name. I spent my first house money there. Poor life choices. Expensive life lessons as my Dad said. Haha
I was daily driving it as much as I could. A couple nights I had to drive in some pretty nasty storms. That no heater game is not bad but the no defroster deal can be dicey.
All the car shows and get togethers are pretty much over with around here now. Last Friday was pretty nice so I drove down to a park we used to play baseball in all the time. It has some nice scenic areas. It is quiet and peaceful there so photo ops are no worries. (Even on the tracks in the pic coming in the next post)Ryan

I'm glad I was able to get more miles put on this thing before they started putting the crap on the roads. Hopefully I can take the kids one more time before winter is fully on. Shoot, Allyson has yet to ride in it. That should happen first. I did take the kids to their last soccer game in it. They want me to take them to school everyday in it.
This past Saturday night I took the car down to see a friend of mine in Creston. That was a cold ride back at 34*. It's a 2hr trip down there and about 100 miles. I found a couple of old barns but no old gas stations. They've all been demo'd. That's sad. I did find a couple places that have some potential projects that need to be checked out. HahaRyan

Way cool pics Ryan. LOVE the barn. If the weather co-operates maybe I can pose the coupe for a pic or two?

I could see that I guess. Those old tanks could be an issue for sure. Yes sir, we have had 3 snow events so far. That is 3 too many. I've got a few pics i can upload later. Last Thursday I almost drove the camaro because it was so nice out. Good thing I didn't. The evening turned to rainy and crappy then led to freezing rain and snow. That would have been no fun to drive in. Haha
Thanks Mike. Do it! I'm going to try to get a pic of the orange truck, vette, and camaro before the snow is forced us in for good.

I've been driving it when I can. Last week I listened to the meteorologists and got burned. At 9am they claimed low of 35* and no precip until 11pm. So I drove the Camaro. At 3 it was 23* and snowing. SOB! It was great fun with no heat. We actually got an inch and a half that night but the wind blew most of it away before I left work.
I haven't received my permit for my lean too at home so I am going to have to re think my storage plans for this winter. We've already gotten snow 3 times. We have a couple inches stuck to the ground already. Bad deal. HahaRyan

The Camaro got taken out of storage a while ago and I have been racking up the miles on it. I finally got the vintage air installed 7/3 and took it to Goodguys the 4th and 5th. I got my first raccoon with it this past Monday night. Thankfully it didn't do a lot of damage. It sure is more fun to drive with cold AC!
