A big raccoon can tear up a car! A friend hit one on the highway, decided he ought to take his new BMW in to get checked and about fell over when they told him it was going to be $4000 to fix!

I've been battling the city to get a permit to allow me to add on to my garage. I guess battling is not the correct word but it feels like it. Just another thing messed up by covid. So in the mean time I got a harbor freight port a shed to store this in so I can get an open garage stall. All in all it is a better design than their old ones. The tubing on the ends and bottom bars actually are integrated so the covers can be tightened to help keep it from flapping around. I've got it anchored in 6 spots currently and will add more when the stakes arrive.

I thought your town would be kind of like our town. You build something and then go to the counsel and say hey by the way I did this. That's when they say okay and then give you a permit.

Seth, I wish it were but it's not. About 3 years ago they got a new city administrator and they went hog wild on everything. You had to have a permit to paint until citizens filed a law suite and things got changed. It's not as bad now but it still is a PITA. They will let you put up a pole building but the tin has to be horizontal and the front of it has to have 30% brick or rock on the front. Even if the front is in an alley facing other people's back yards. It's getting ridiculous.

Man I hate it when government “officials” are on that kind of a power trip. That’s just a self serving ego trip, nothing more.

I've been driving this thing as often as I can. Usually daily to work until it snowed and was crap for 3 weeks. I even saw Seth and his family in Ft. Dodge back in October. I'll post more pics later. Here's one to warm up your day.

We got about 5" of snow here yesterday, the good news is that there will be no more lawn mowing required here this year! Other then that, snow sucks!

Mine is still green and growing. One of the downsides to living in the deep south, but at least we rarely get snow. We do get ice storms on occasion and they suck since they will take down power lines.

That pic was early October. We had 3 or 4 snow events already. I thought we would be done mowing too. Then it was 60's and 70's until Monday night. We went from 78* to 58* in about 10 minutes. Now it's back to crazy mother nature.

I'm not sure if I shared this picture or not before. Here is my first Camaro I had and traded for Corvette parts in the early 00's.

That's where mostly everything I've found has been. Or under a barn that fell down.

Nothing much has changed with the car until recently. I'm sure everyone including Seth will approve of my latest mods to the car. The LS just didn't do it for me anymore so I went back to a tree fiddy with turbas.
