Hardest part for me was getting the wheels back onto the hubs without scratching / gouging anything! LOL.

If you noticed, the prep work on the hubs was minimal

I got some yellow on tonight, new yellow is always crazy bright. I found that my I beam that I put in my shed is pretty handy for using wire to hangs things to paint. I'm only limited by how many vice grips I have to clamp on the beam for the wire hangers.

Yes, I blasted a little bit in my old shed once and that was a terrible mistake. I think I found sand for 5 years after that.

I bet you are ready for it to leave! I really dislike sand blasting in the winter. The mask always fogs up or the line/handle freezes up. Just no fun to an already crappy job.

I clicked the like button 'cause I appreciated the pic and the effort..
But I never could pull it off without damage either. I even tried the greased mat under the tire where it slides into place but it was no better cause the tires are just to heavy to move smoothly/easily.

I use an old welding helmet for a mask and a stocking hat to cover my hair. The welding mask seems to breath well enough where it doesn't fog to bad.

I think they got heavier, I used to tip the MFD tires up off the ground myself , now I grunt with two people.

Even the combine tires are getting ridiculously heavy. I think the super thick wheels are a lot of it. I remember taking 30.5's off combines in junk yards and they were heavy but they're huge.

I can't remember the who and other specifics but the other day an ad popped up for a hydraulic lift wheel dolly that makes moving big tires and wheels an easy one-person job. Shouldn't be too hard to seek out if you are interested.

We've got one at work for semi tires but I doubt it would work all that great for tractor tires. It would need to be wider with larger rollers to hold the larger diameter tires. I'm sure someone builds a tire dolly to do it but I bet they aren't exactly cheap.
