    My new daily driver.

Florida is the perfect place to drive a classic car year around. I finally found the right one, at the right price. It’s a 1947 Chevy Stylemaster. It definitely needs some TLC. On the plus side, the frame and undercarriage is virtually rust free. It has a good running small block Chevy, automatic transmission, front disc brakes, and a 10 bolt rear end. It needs multiple dents bumped out, paint, and a whole list of mechanical and electrical stuff fixed. The only modern conveniences I require are AC and a decent stereo, both of which I will add.

Nice! Big enough for a crew, and super cool too! Should make the daily drives a lot more pleasant!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I know I have not done any updates on this thing, so here it is. This car has been my daily driver for the past six months or so, and I drove it up to Mississippi for “Cruisin’ The Coast”. I rebuilt the brakes and suspension, fixed all the electrical issues, and a laundry list of other little things. I also added Vintage Air air conditioning and heater. It has a Mustang II front end, with rack and pinion steering and 1990’s Camaro front disc brakes. It drives very nice, at any speed. It is a bit loud at freeway speeds, mostly due to the 1940’s aerodynamics I think. It still has some interior improvements in its future, and maybe a paint job, I’m still not sure about that.

Thanks! Last night I sold my 95 Camaro convertible, which had been my daily driver for seven years.

Very nice! I could still be driving my Camaro daily but the big deer running made me park it. The weather has been really nice and perfect for cruising though.
