There is certainly something to be said for leaving it looking rough. You're not going to be afraid to pile in and have fun and not worry about scratching it. If you actually use a truck for 4 wheeling it's going to get scratched, pretty paint makes that no fun at all. Not a fan of rat rods but in this case a mechanically new drivetrain and a rough exterior makes perfect sense.
